Let's begin by discussing the initial challenges you faced. What led you to search for a solution?

We needed to send New Year's gifts to multiple countries and addresses. We were looking to send everything in an efficient manner, centrally, rather than finding a local partner in each country. That's when we discovered Maramio.

While gift cards were an option, we wanted tangible, branded gifts, not just generic food baskets which often didn't match their online photos.

Who were the recipients of these New Year's gifts?

Our clients are primarily publishers and advertisers. Gifts are usually sent to specific teams or individual managers that our sales team works with directly.

When selecting Maramio, what stood out to you?

Maramio's website was a major draw. The timely communication, vast product range, and customizable packaging sealed the deal for us. Maramio stood out in terms of responsiveness and product range.

How vital is branding for MGID?

Branding is crucial, especially for projects like the New Year's gifts. We wanted our gifts to be memorable and cohesive. In Ukraine, we achieved this by creating branded custom made products, like prosecco with custom labels and chocolates. So, yes, branding is essential for us.

Was this your first time handling gifts centrally for Europe?

Yes, previously, we used international delivery services for our gifts and dispatched them from Ukraine.

 

And you managed all EU initiatives remotely from Ukraine, right?

Correct, we coordinate everything from Ukraine. I'm in the marketing department, and alongside my colleague Yulia, we handle events and gifting. We have a global team based in Kyiv and local marketing managers in countries like India and Indonesia. Where we lack local managers, Yulia and I step in.

 

Some of the gift boxes were not sent directly to your clients but were shipped to your Italian office. Can you explain why?

Local managers in locations such as Italy and Germany wanted to present the gifts to clients personally. Thus, we shipped batches to these offices, from which they were distributed.

Have you received any feedback on the gifts?

While it's not official, our sales and account managers share feedback. So far, it's been positive.

 

Given that you also use a warehouse for storage, how important is that feature for you?

It's extremely valuable. The ability to store gifts outside our office, especially for long-term projects, makes processes smoother.

How did your experience with Maramio match your initial expectations?

We expected to face some international delivery nuances, as we knew it’s not an easy task, but the swift communication with Maramio helped us navigate them. Overall, we're satisfied and plan to continue our collaboration.

 

What's next in your partnership with Maramio?

We'll stick to our current process, ordering souvenirs for conferences and events and dispatching them as needed.

 

In reflection, which companies would benefit most from Maramio's services?

International companies, especially in IT and advertising, would benefit immensely. Maramio simplifies gifting, making it an invaluable resource for HR and marketing departments alike. I'd highly recommend it.
